Eco Stuff

The resort was originally built as an eco-park, and is now a luxury eco-resort. One of the incredible things was how clear the water was within the mangrove swamp. There were areas of "muck," but underneath the floating algae, the water was crystal clear and loaded with fish..

Reptiles

The most interesting (and frightening) members of the eco-park were the crocodiles. They were kept in an enclosure, but we were told the are native to the region....
There was a mother croc gauding a cache of eggs, and a number of baby crocs being kept safe from mommy and daddy.

There were also Turtles,

Geckos

and Iguanas.

Mammals

There were thirty white tail deer,

including a couple of bucks,

and some young.

There was also a monkey enclosure. I'm not sure what kind they were, but they were very friendly, they didn't throw anything at us.

Birds

Most of the birds were kept in a large Aviary. There were all sorts, including many ducks.
This nice looking pheasant jumped us when we entered the ariary and gave my mother quite a scare.
There were two macaw, which were very colorful, but the were a bit camera shy, so I don't have a good shot.
The Tucan and the flamingoes also didn't much care for the camera.
But the parrot, Pablito, was more than happy to mug for the camera.

Flowers

The flowers throughout were very interesting and beautiful. If anyone can identify these, I would apreciate you letting me know what these are.
